Welcome to the 2022-23 school year! My name is Richard Burd and I am extremely excited to be joining the Lincoln Middle School team as the new Vice Principal. I am honored to be at a school that looks beyond the classroom and encourages a holistic approach to education. I look forward to working with Mrs. Devor to provide a safe and inclusive environment for all the LMS students, staff, and families.

Prior to coming to Hawthorne, I spent ten years working as a middle school teacher in Dumont. During that time, I learned how uniquely important the middle school years are to the successful development of students. I will use my knowledge, experience, and skills to provide the LMS students with the highest quality academic, social, emotional, and behavioral support.

I am humbled to be part of the LMS family and eager to make this school year a memorable success for all LMS students, families, and community members. Thank you for this opportunity and I look forward to working together.
